Notes
-Handgun permit applications must be filled out by the Chief of Police if you live in Walkerton city limits, after you have completed the online state application. If you live outside the city, contact your county’s Sheriff Department.
-Please bring identification with you for local background checks, handgun permits, or deer permits.
-Confidential information on incident reports (such as juvenile data, Social Security numbers, or suspect info in active cases) will be redacted.
-We cannot check a drivers license status for your own personal information. Please visit the Bureau of Motor Vehicles web site.
-If you request copies of multiple incidents over a period of time, please have specific information available (dates, names, locations) and allow 5 business days for research to be completed. The cost is $3.00 per incident found.
